ERIE is the first hat in THE GREAT LAKES, a five-part Collector's Edition. The front piece is a brushed stainless cut-out of Lake Erie's shoreline, with depth contours engraved across it like a nautical chart and a small raised gold star on the Cleveland shore. The lake name sits beneath the plate in raised capitals, over THE GREAT LAKES · I OF V.
A lake-blue anodized aluminum tag on the side reads 210 FT (64 M) MAX DEPTH — Lake Erie's maximum depth, per NOAA's Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory.
