Can ChatGPT design a hat I can buy?
ChatGPT can make the picture, but tiny text, soft gradients and fine lines often don't survive on a real hat. The Hat Genie designs with what the real thing can hold. It only designs on hats we carry. Already made one in ChatGPT? Upload it and we'll bring it to life.
What is the Hat Genie?

Is the Hat Genie free to use?
Yes. Designing with the Hat Genie is free. You only pay when you order the hat.
Can I give the Hat Genie a picture or my logo?
Yes. Add a picture, paste a link to one, or tell it the website it's on, and the Hat Genie designs from it.
Can the Hat Genie design on the hat I already picked?
Yes. Pick your hat on our build page, tap the Hat Genie, and it designs on that exact hat. Otherwise it designs only on hats we carry.
Can you turn my ChatGPT image into a real hat?
Yes. Send us the image you made and we redraw it as artwork a real hat can carry, then combine finishes on one hat so it reads the way your picture does. There is no minimum and no setup fee.
How close will the hat be to my AI image?
Most, if not all, of the details that make it yours carry over. Some things an AI image shows cannot be reproduced on a real hat, like text too small to stay readable, and when that happens we tell you before we make it, not after.
Can embroidery handle an AI image with gradients?
Standard thread embroidery struggles with it. Fine lines thicken, blended color breaks into flat blocks, and small text stops being readable. That limit is real, and it is why an AI design often comes back simpler than the picture you made.
We use SolidCore Embroidery™. It looks and feels like stitched work, and it holds color and fine detail that thread cannot. Where an image needs more, we mix in UV, DTF and DTG printing, and laser cutting and engraving, to get the closest match.
The hats on this page all came from AI images with blended color in them.
What do I need to send you?
The image, and any notes about what matters to you. Any size is fine as long as it is clear enough to see the detail. If you have a colorway in mind, or a cap you want it on, say so.
JPG, PNG or PDF. A screenshot from your phone works too.
Can you make just one?
Yes. The minimum is one hat. No setup fee.
How much does it cost?
AI hats start at $65 for one hat, paid when you order, and your free proof comes within one business day. Every design is priced by what's on the hat, and you see the price before you decide: $65, $95, or over $95, priced for your hat. Order more of the exact same hat and the price drops: the $65 hat is $55 each for 2–4, $48 each for 5–9 and $41 each for 10 or more.
How much is a hat from my own AI image?
Upload your AI image and we price it the same way as a Hat Genie™ design: from $65, based on what's on the hat. Order more of the same hat and each one costs less.
Why does a custom AI hat cost more than a printed one?
From $65. That covers redrawing your AI image as artwork a hat can carry, choosing the finish that holds it, and a proof you approve before we make your hat.
Both are real choices. If the design is simple, a print-on-demand hat does the job. If your image has gradients, fine lines or small text — and most AI art does — the detail is what you are paying to keep.
How long does it take?
We send your proof within one business day, whether or not your hats are in stock. If your hats are in stock, your hat typically ships 1–3 business days after you approve it, and your ship date comes with your proof.
Can I change things from my AI image, and what if something is wrong?
Yes, until you approve your proof. Once you approve your proof we start making your hat and it cannot be returned. If anything arrives defective, we repair it or replace it.
