ONTARIO is the second hat in THE GREAT LAKES, a five-part Collector's Edition. The front piece is a brushed stainless cut-out of Lake Ontario's shoreline, with depth contours engraved across it like a nautical chart and a small raised gold star at the east end, where the lake meets the St. Lawrence. The lake name sits beneath the plate in raised capitals, over THE GREAT LAKES · II OF V.
A metal tag on the side reads 802 FT — Lake Ontario's maximum depth (802 ft / 244 m), per NOAA's Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory.
