On the night of 26 September 2026 the Harvest Moon came up over Lake Erie, and the cloud cover at Veterans Memorial Park in Avon Lake, Ohio — just west of Cleveland — turned out to be exactly thin enough. Moonlight passing through that veil of ice and water droplets bent into a corona: concentric rings of colour wrapped around the moon, bright enough to read as rainbows. The clouds moved and the rings moved with them. It did not look like Ohio. It looked like the sky over some other planet.
The photograph on this patch is the one we took standing there. The numbers around the rim are the coordinates of the spot it was taken from, down to the thousandth of a minute — 41°30.822'N 82°01.176'W. If you drove to those figures tonight you would be standing on the same grass, looking at the same lake.

- The patch: a circular patch roughly 2.5 inches across — a black anodized aluminum bezel with a brushed finish, a full-colour photographic centre, and the coordinates lettered in white around the lower rim.
- The cap: Richardson 112 in five colorways — structured front panels, mesh back, adjustable snapback, one size fits most adults.
- Ponytail option: the Dusty Rose/White colorway is an Infinity Charlie cap with a concealed ponytail opening.
- Made to order in Avon Lake, Ohio, just west of Cleveland. Every hat is assembled after you order it, so allow a little time before it ships.
