A mother black bear and her three cubs climbed into an open water cistern at Marshall Canyon County Park and could not climb back out. City firefighters and state wildlife officers worked the tank for hours, lowering a ramp until the cubs scrambled up one at a time and their mother followed them out. The four of them walked off into the foothills together. That is the morning this patch is cut for — and, cut clean with no lettering, it is simply a good bear to wear anywhere.
