There is one Christmas inside America's 250th year, and this is it. The United States turns 250 in 2026, Ohio is marking it with its own commemorative program, and the gifts below carry the dates 1776–2026 on the front.
They are all officially licensed by America 250-Ohio, and they are all decorated here in Avon Lake, Ohio, just west of Cleveland.
What is America 250-Ohio, and who is allowed to make its merchandise?
America 250-Ohio is the state's commission for the nation's 250th anniversary. It licenses a small number of Ohio companies to make merchandise carrying the anniversary design.
There are eight licensed companies in Ohio, and Laser Focused Xpressions is one of them. The full list is published by the commission itself at america250-ohio.org, alongside makers in Piqua, Columbus, Salem and Upper Arlington.
A portion of the proceeds helps fund America 250-Ohio programs in 2026. Those are the commission's own words, not ours — so a gift from this collection puts something back into the anniversary it celebrates.
Which America 250-Ohio gift belongs on a Christmas tree?
The America 250-Ohio Christmas ornament, $20.
The commemorative design is printed in full color onto clear acrylic and then cut to follow the shape of the artwork, including the banner details — so it is not a disc with a picture on it. The edges are polished and transparent, the hanging hole is precut, and a ribbon is included.
An ornament is the gift that comes back out of the box every December. In 2036 it will still say 1776–2026, and whoever hangs it will remember which year it came from.
What else is in the licensed collection?
- America 250-Ohio trucker hat — $30. The commemorative design on a trucker cap, in several colorways. For the person who will actually wear it through the anniversary year.
- America 250-Ohio shot glass — $10. Small enough for a stocking, and simple to buy several of.
- America 250-Ohio golf balls — from $10. Three options: a set of two Bridgestone at $10, a set of three TaylorMade Distance+ at $19, and a set of three Titleist Pro V1 at $33.
All four are in the America 250-Ohio collection.
Who is this a good gift for?
Ohioans who collect state and anniversary pieces. Family who have moved away and still call Ohio home. History teachers, historical societies and township trustees. Golf outings and company gifts that want something with a date on it. Grandparents who already have everything except this year.
It also answers a gift problem with no easy answer — someone who lives in Ohio, seen from somewhere else. A licensed state anniversary piece is specific in a way a gift card is not.
How quickly can it arrive?
In stock, it ships in 1–2 business days and arrives in 3–5. Free U.S. shipping on orders of $30 or more.
There is no minimum, even just one — so a single ornament is a perfectly normal order, and so is a box of twenty-four for a company party or a historical society.
Where are they made?
Every piece is decorated by Laser Focused Xpressions in Avon Lake, Ohio, just west of Cleveland, on the shore of Lake Erie. We have been making since 2017.
The anniversary lasts one year. The ornament outlasts it.
